BOMBSHELL ALERT! Rangers DESPERATE To DUMP Star For Just £10M This Summer – Despite Arrogantly REJECTING The Exact Same Offer In January!** Fans are FUMING as the club looks ready to cave in and sell their prized asset for peanuts after playing hard to get just months ago. Is this the ultimate betrayal?

Rangers F.C. rejected an approach for the former Paris Saint-Germain F.C. and Sheffield Wednesday F.C. player earlier this year.

The summer transfer window is already shaping up to be an eventful one for Rangers, despite the 2025/26 Scottish Premiership campaign ending less than two weeks ago.

Activity behind the scenes at Ibrox has accelerated quickly, with Danny Röhl eager to reshape his squad ahead of the new season.

The club appear close to securing their first major signing of the summer, with Hearts captain Lawrence Shankland expected to complete a move to Glasgow in the coming days.

Rangers supporters will be encouraged by the ambition shown early in the transfer market and will hope the Scotland international becomes the first of several additions during the off-season.

While attention is focused on incomings, the club must also decide which current players remain part of Röhl’s long-term plans.

One footballer who could potentially depart is winger Djeidi Gassama, despite Rangers previously turning down a sizeable offer for him earlier in the year.

According to reports from Football Insider, French side AS Monaco submitted a £10 million bid for Gassama during the winter transfer window, but Rangers rejected the proposal.

However, the report suggests that an offer of a similar amount this summer may persuade the Ibrox hierarchy to reconsider their stance.

The 22-year-old is now reportedly becoming increasingly likely to leave the club before the start of the 2026/27 campaign.

Gassama enjoyed a productive first season in Glasgow after arriving from Sheffield Wednesday last summer.

Across all competitions, the Mauritania international made 56 appearances and scored nine goals, establishing himself as an important attacking option under Röhl.

Having only joined Rangers a year ago on a four-year contract, Gassama still has significant value in the transfer market.

The former Paris Saint-Germain academy player represented France at youth level before switching his international allegiance to Mauritania earlier this year.

Reports also indicate that clubs from the English Premier League are monitoring his situation closely, although no specific sides have yet been identified.

Rangers may view a potential sale as an opportunity to generate valuable funds that could be reinvested into strengthening the squad during the summer rebuild.

Meanwhile, Shankland’s expected arrival continues to gather momentum. The striker is believed to have shortened a holiday in Portugal in order to travel to Glasgow and finalise the transfer.

A medical examination is reportedly scheduled for Tuesday, with all parties hopeful there will be no complications before the move is officially confirmed.

Shankland is expected to sign a two-year contract at Ibrox, with the agreement also including the option of a further 12 months.

The former Aberdeen and Dundee United forward has been linked with Rangers for several seasons and enjoyed another strong campaign with Hearts last term, scoring 16 league goals as the Edinburgh side finished above Rangers in the Premiership table and secured qualification for the Champions League.
